Detailed itinerary of 3-day trip Bwindi Gorilla Tracking
On the first day of 3 day gorilla trekking safaris, we will journey from either Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Initially, you will be collected from your hotel or place of home precisely at 6:30 am following your breakfast in order to circumvent the congestion caused by the early morning traffic in Kampala. The journey commences by going in a southwesterly direction via the districts of Wakiso, Mpigi, and Masaka, providing an opportunity to observe the local ways of life in the central part of Uganda. Next, proceed to Mbarara where you can choose to have lunch at either Agip Motel or Igongo cultural center.
Following lunch, the journey continues to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Bushenyi region, passing through the southern half of Queen Elizabeth National Park. If fortunate, you may have the opportunity to observe tree-climbing lions, as well as other prominent wildlife such as elephants and buffaloes. Proceed with observing the breathtaking landscape and undulating hills of Kigezi, and ultimately, Kanungu district, which leads to Buhoma, a section of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check-in at your pre-booked lodge at approximately 5:30 pm. Evening meal and accommodation for the night.

Day 2 of 3 day gorilla trekking safaris, Rise before dawn, precisely at 6:00 am, to have breakfast and then make your way to the designated location for the mountain gorilla trekking briefing. There, you will receive instructions on safety protocols and be assigned guides and groups for gorilla tracking activity. The departure time is precisely 8:00 am. The ranger guides ensure that all participants have packed lunch, an adequate supply of drinking water, suitable and secure footwear, and, if necessary, a porter to assist in carrying their backpacks. This ensures that everyone can fully enjoy their gorilla trekking adventure in comfort.
